Vets destory local rivals to win Division Two!
Gold Hill Vets annihilated rivals St Josephs 8-0, and thus won the CCFL Division Two trophy by one point.
A weakened Vets team toiled in the first half, but stormed to a romp in an exhibition second half, which even saw Manager Mark Thomas score in his final game as player, due to chronic knee problems.
The Vets celebrated their victory which saw them complete the double, their most successful season ever, and give Thomas a near perfect start to his managerial career.
They will now play in Division One, which will be a real step up in class and fitness. However, for now Gold Hill Vets will celebrate a long, fruitful campaign.
